Hi, my name is Richard, (UK). I have lived and taught English in Switzerland since 2003. I offer Business and high level English Coaching (min B1), 10 Weeks Intensive, or by arrangement. Together we set goals. (B1 to C2). More intensive and quicker than language schools, I advise that you have 1-3 hours to study at home. We do speaking with analysis and correction. (notes, grammar and writing as required).

– How long does it take to move up a level, for example B1 to B2? Or C1 to C2?
To move up a whole level usually you will need about a year. In a language school this will mean 3 or 4 blocks of 20 lessons.
– What is different with you, what can you offer that is better?
I offer intensive training. Once or twice a week we do a 1:1 50 minute tel. call, or meet up, with a written feedback report. I set you a written task to complete, and then mark it with feedback. You make much quicker progress 1:1 than in a group.
– Why should I do 10 weeks with you ?
My 10 week intensive course includes 15 hours coaching. I give you written reports and tell you exactly what to do. I make sure you do self study, and show you exactly 'how' to study.
– Are you a better teacher than others in language schools?
I make sure you get results. For Business English, I have experience of business from many areas, from arts, to insurance, marketing, sales. Many teachers don't have this. The 'coaching' element is something I have developed over years of English teaching and coaching experience.
– How can I learn enough to make further progress to C1 / C2?
You have to learn to self study and keep going. After some time we can meet to reassess. My aim is to make you more and more independent.
